Wheelthrowing and More
This course intersperses demonstrations, projects, and individual instruction to new and advanced students alike. This class focuses on, but is not limited to throwing on the wheel. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at wheelthrowing, come join this class where Todd shares his expertise in a fun and relaxed environment.
Come in from the cold and indulge in creative work with clay! This class tends to focus on handbuilding and students often direct their work by pursuing individual interests. This is a relaxed community oriented class where students gather and exercise their passion for clay.
During this class, students will focus on a common theme or project while pursuing their own work. Instruction is concentrated on, but not limited to hand building techniques. Beginners are welcome to join in in this relaxed and supportive environment. Come and enjoy the challenges, wonders and satisfaction of working with clay.
This course welcomes any level of beginner, from brand new “never touched a wheel” to intermediate students who wish to hone skills and build artistry. This class includes demonstrations, projects, and individual instruction in wheel-throwing, hand building and glazing techniques. Come experience the joys and challenges of working with clay in Vicky’s relaxed, supportive environment.
Art Class Policies
All classes take place in the JCC Clay Studio
If a class is cancelled due to a teacher illness or inclement weather, participants will be notified immediately by phone. If scheduling allows, a make-up class will be offered at the convenience of the teacher and students. The MACC reserves the right to cancel class one week before the date of first class due to low enrollment.
