Adult Ceramics & Clay Classes

The Frankel Clay Studio features electric high fire clay and glazes, a slab roller, an extruder, four electric and eight kick wheels as well as a whole array of tools.

Our outstanding team of instructors, fabulous students and well-equipped studio all contribute to an educational experience that is fun and inviting. Intermediate/Advanced Ceramics, Tuesdays Spring Term


This class is welcoming to beginning and repeat students alike. Instructor Todd Redmond is a talented ceramic artist and teacher. Each term he introduces new projects and techniques while also helping students with ongoing projects. Come join us and experience the joy of clay in a relaxed environment.

Intermediate/Advanced Ceramics, Wednesdays Spring Term

This class is open to students who have previous experience working with clay. Group projects are introduced at the beginning each session and then students have the opportunity to pursue their own ideas in a supervised environment. Instructor Vicky Smith’s area of expertise is hand-building, but wheel-throwers are more than welcome to join!

Beginner/Intermediate Ceramics, Fridays Spring Term

Vicky Smith is an experienced teacher and ceramic artist who helps to create an environment that is fun, creative and non-competitive.  This class covers the basics of handbuilding and glazing with an emphasis on exploring formal elements. Open to beginners and ongoing students.
