The Toronto Jewish Film Festival calls Peter the 3rd “a warm, cross-generational comedy guaranteed to make you smile,” and we couldn’t agree more!

Peter, a 65-year old community actor, scheming with his longtime buddies at their usual café, decides to run for office to receive a governmental pension, campaigning on the platform of widow’s rights and elderly benefits. With the help of his favorite waitress, a free spirited writer named Alona, we see a supporting actor finally take the lead role of his life.

Peter the 3rd presents a lighthearted look at the Knesset that talks about the Israeli political process without being polemical or controversial. And through Peter’s interactions with his prospective constituents, we see various facets of Israeli society. This film has screened at the Miami Jewish Film Festival and the Toronto Jewish Film Festival. Colorado Premiere.
