JAAMM Festival Draws to a Close

JAAMM Fest has been a whirlwind of arts, authors, movies and music! This week marks the last of our fabulous author talks, our theatre performance, Apples from the Desert and the close of our book sale.  Tickets are still available.  And if you’re going through music withdrawal we still have one JAAMMin’ concert left: Abraham Inc.

Abraham Inc. features renowned clarinetist, David Krakauer, legendary funk trombonist Fred Wesley (from James Brown’s band) and beat architect, Socalled in an all out klezmer-funk-dance party!

About JAAMM Festival

JAAMM Festival (Jewish Arts, Authors, Movies and Music Festival) is a unique celebration of Jewish life and culture that reaches out to the Jewish community and the community at large.  This annual fall festival combines the longstanding Leah Cohen Festival of Jewish Books and Authors (a book sale, personal appearances by authors of international prominence and a Denver Jewish Community Reads program), with dynamic concerts ranging from jazz to classical, contemporary films on a variety of topics, an educational art workshop, an art exhibit and theatre events to create a world-class, multidisciplinary Jewish cultural celebration.  The goal of the festival is to bring together a diverse array of arts offerings to stimulate excitement about Jewish music, art, cinema and literature.  Some of the featured music performers are from Israel, providing local patrons with a rare opportunity for cultural exchange.  Approximately 4,000 people attend JAAMM Festival each year.
