The Elaine Wolf Theatre Construction Update – Week of October 31, 2011

We are deeply appreciative to all who attended our many JAAMM Fest events last week.  There are still a few more days and several events before the festival wraps up.  Check our website at for more information.

Work continued during last week as we began to actually install the steel infrastructure that will support the new mezzanine level. We also arranged and ordered the seating for the upper level and worked out the handicapped seating for the theatre.  I am proud that we will have several prime accessible seats in the center of the house.

Planned activity this week includes more steel work on the mezzanine, stone and glass for the exterior tower begins to arrive, preparation for our elevator and more duct work.

We are delighted to announce that we have received a significant gift from Elaine Wolf for a major renovation of our mainstage theatre space.  The renovation will include a new balcony, accessible aisle, new stage, new electronic marquee, new lobby, new lighting and sound equipment and much more.  This summer we are working to complete all exterior elements of the project while the weather is warm.  Interior work will begin in August, once our summer program is completed.  A reminder that we are open for business during the entire construction period!!

We apologize in advance for our mess and any disruption this will cause (noise, parking, dust, etc).  Sometime in early 2012, we will proudly unveil the new state-of-the-art Elaine Wolf Theatre.
